David Moyes will be given the funds to transform Everton back into a team competing for Europe this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Everton head into their final six games of the season comfortably clear of the Premier League relegation zone, with Moyes having led them on a run of just two defeats in 13 since returning to Goodison Park.

The Toffees were 16th in the table and had just 17 points to their name at the time of Sean Dyche’s dismissal on 9 January, but Moyes’ turnaround has seen them claim 21 of the next 39 points available.

Sources have told Football Insider that with Everton having the nucleus of a good squad – despite several members looking set to leave Goodison on free transfers – their plan will now be to keep their star players.

Football Insider revealed that Everton plan to sign Burnley’s Maxime Esteve if Jarrad Branthwaite is sold, but the priority on Merseyside is to add to the squad while keeping hold of the likes of Branthwaite.

Everton have seldom had ample money to spend across any transfer window in recent years, but sources have told Football Insider that this is set to change this summer, with Moyes being backed to the hilt.

Evertonians are fully behind the Scot, having seen their fortunes transformed since Moyes returned to his former club less than a month after The Friedkin Group’s takeover was completed on 19 December.

Moyes is a tried and trusted Premier League manager, and if he gets the right backing,Everton chiefs believe he will move the club further up the table and towards the European places next season.

While more than 10 players look set to exit at the end of the season, Everton will have high hopes of keeping Branthwaite after Mick Brown told Football Insider that Manchester United won’t come back in for him.

Football Insider also revealed that with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja both set to leave as their respective contract and loan deal expire, Everton have Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap firmly in their sights.

Delap isn’t the only player Everton look set to be in a multi-club race for, with their pursuit of Feyenoord defender David Hancko showcasing the levels of ambition that The Friedkin Group have for the Toffees.
