A few eyebrows were raised when Solomon decided to make a loan switch to Leeds last summer.

However, the winger’s drop down to the Championship has since been vindicated as he has earned regular football to showcase his quality at Elland Road.

The 25-year-old has tormented defences in the second tier and has looked better as the season has gone on, having seemingly put his injury issues behind him.

Solomon delivered again for Daniel Farke’s men against Preston, scoring a goal and setting up another in the first half, which takes his tally to 16 goal contributions this season.

It took the on-loan Spurs man just four minutes to make an impact against Preston, with the ball falling to him around the edge of the box.

Solomon took a touch to get the ball out of his feat and produced a typically curled effort, which sailed into the far corner past a diving goalkeeper.

A number of clubs across England and Europe will perhaps be taking notice of the winger’s performances, particularly amidst the news that Tottenham are willing to sell Solomon for £15m this summer.

It was reported last month that Leeds and Everton could be involved in a transfer tussle to secure Solomon when the transfer market opens in June.

The Yorkshire club still are not assured of automatic promotion, with just three points separating the top three teams in the table.

However, a few weeks ago, Daniel Farke hinted that Leeds had begun talks over a permanent deal for Manor Solomon, although one suspects those talks will not speed up until Leeds’ promotion is confirmed.
