Elsewhere, Brentford star Yoane Wissa looks to be a serious target as Frank bids to land a reunion with his former attacker who had an excellent season of last.

Tottenham are in desperate need for attacking depth this summer, but with every addition there is a question over whether an existing player will depart, and there have been plenty of suggestions that Richarlison might depart after struggling with injury for much of last season.

Elsewhere, there are questions over the future of Heung-min Son, who once again finds himself in the final year of his contract after penning a one-year extension.

At 33 years of age, Son’s future is uncertain, with Tottenham likely getting one more opportunity to get some money back for Son, with the club legend able to agree a free transfer by way of pre-contract agreement from January.

A January departure has been mooted, a departure that would likely involve a small fee, but according to Graeme Bailey, Tottenham have already told Son he is able to leave this summer if the right offer comes in.

Bailey told The Boot Room: “He’s aware that he can leave if there’s a suitable offer. He’s not a cornerstone of what Tottenham are planning going forward. We know Tottenham have brought in Kudus, and they still want to sign Wissa.

“I don’t think Tottenham would have any issues if he stayed, but don’t be massively surprised if he moves on by the end of the window.

He’s definitely available to go, and there are a few options out there for him. But he’s not a key part of Tottenham’s plans going forward.”

Son spoke about his future earlier this summer, telling Yonhap: “I still have one more year left on the contract, Rather than saying anything at this moment, I think we should all wait and see what happens. But no matter where I end up, I will always do the best I can. It will never change.”

He added: “I know people may say I had a disappointing year, but personally, this was a special season because you play football to win, and only winners are remembered.

I wasn’t in my best form for most of the season, but hopefully I will be in better condition going into the new season.”
