Tottenham Hotspur are said to be weighing up a fresh bid to sign Nottingham Forest ace Morgan Gibbs-White.

The 25-year-old appeared to be on the verge of a move to the capital last week when Spurs triggered a £60 million release clause in his contract.

A medical was reportedly due to take place last Friday but the Reds were furious over what they considered to be an illegal approach for their star man and the potential move came to a halt.

Gibbs-White has trained with his Reds teammates this week, having been permitted additional time off due to his international commitments.

But he is said to be keen to have his “future resolved” before the start of next week.

Tottenham are seemingly undeterred in their hopes of prising the England international away from the City Ground.

According to the Daily Mail, a second offer for Gibbs-White could be in the pipeline as the “ball is now” in Spurs’ court.

It is claimed the north London side have “discussed” making a bid in the region of £65m for the Forest attacker, although one has not yet been submitted.

The Mail state it is “unclear” whether such a fee would be sufficient to change the Reds’ stance.

Gibbs-White is said to want clarity on his situation before Nuno Espirito Santo’s side head off to Portugal for a pre-season training camp on Monday. It is claimed he is “still keen” to make the switch to Tottenham.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers man is said to have “resisted” Forest’s attempts to offer him a new contract.

 He has two years remaining on his current one, having signed a five-year deal when he joined the club in 2022.

Before the Reds go to Portugal, they are in action on Saturday for their second friendly of the summer. They face AS Monaco at Chesterfield’s SMH Group Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Nuno’s men will play friendlies against Fulham and Estoril during their time in Portugal.

They are due to remain in the country until August 1 before returning to the UK to complete their preparations for the 2025/26 campaign.

Forest have already lost one key man this summer as Anthony Elanga joined Newcastle United earlier this month. So far, they have added Botafogo duo Igor Jesus and Jair Cunha to their ranks.

The Reds have little more than a month to go before the serious action begins. They host Brentford at the City Ground on August 17 in their first Premier League match of the new season.
