Deion Sanders’ Colorado Gets Big News on Top 5 Recruit

The Colorado Buffaloes are set to lose a number of key players this offseason, especially with both quarterback Shedeur Sanders and dual-threat star Travis Hunter taking their talents to the NFL.

However, it sure looks like Deion Sanders and his staff are working hard to recruit top talents and ensure that the team’s future is in good hands.

On Wednesday, the Buffaloes received a huge update on the recruiting front, as 2026 five-star prospect Felix Ojo scheduled a visit to Colorado in a few weeks’ time.

According to Hayes Fawcett of On3, the young offensive tackle will visit the program from May 2-4. Not only that, but the top-five prospect also holds Sanders’ program in high regard.

“I feel like (Coach) Deion is changing the game over there at Colorado,” Ojo said of the Buffaloes.

Of course, the Buffaloes are still a long way from getting Felix Ojo’s commitment, but getting a visit is a huge opportunity for Deion Sanders and company to impress the Texas native and convince him to choose the program.

The competition for Ojo will be fierce, as he also has a number of visits scheduled with other teams.

He’s set to take a trip to Ole Miss this weekend before making his way to Colorado. After that, he’ll also visit Ohio State, Michigan, Texas and Oklahoma.

It will be interesting to see if Sanders and the Buffs can lure Ojo to Colorado. If they do, he would be a massive piece for a team that has yet to land anyone for its 2026 recruiting class.
