The NFL draft is just less than a month away, so expect more buzz about it going forward.

Todd McShay of ESPN recently contributed to the excitement for the highly anticipated event when he revealed his thoughts on a scenario he seemingly believes will likely happen following the Tennessee Titans’ decision to cancel a workout with Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders.

Here’s what McShay wrote in a post on X on Saturday:

So the @Titans have respectfully cancelled private workouts with Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, making it all but official they will take Cam Ward No. 1.

And now I’m starting to hear more and more about Hunter to Cleveland at No. 2.

That would mean Abdul Carter vs. Shedeur for the Giants at No. 3. ***Not a difficult decision IMO.

There is no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to the NFL draft. But the signs appear to tell McShay that the Titans will go with Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick overall while the Cleveland Browns, who will be picking after Tennessee, will take Buffaloes quarterbacks and defensive back Travis Hunter.

McShay’s NFL draft post gains attention from fans online

Of course, such a take from a well-known personality will always trigger buzz from fans.

“I have no idea what Hunter would conceivably do to improve the Browns,” said a commenter.

“I feel like a trade down might be the best move for NY in this case,” another shared.

“Who are the Browns starting at QB, Kenny Pickett?” posted a different social media user.

Another one said: “The Titans are acting like they’ve discovered the next superstar, but with so much talent available, their decision could easily backfire.”

Another comment read: “That’s great for whoever gets the Ole Miss guy. Sanders sucks the Ward guy is pretty good. I think Dart has a better career.”
